About

Swedish music producer and artist Aevy Lore invites you to a musical universe of atmospheric Nordic Alternative Pop. With influences from artists like Aurora and Red Moon, her productions hold a storytelling quality in the merging of playful melodies, rhythmic textures, and captivating soundscapes. With honest and self-reflecting lyrics, Aevy Lore’s sincere vocals are constantly moving between being fragile and beautiful - yet with a compelling attitude. On stage, she’s been received with reactions such as “…a new musical universe” and “…one being, with the power of a symphony” (Audience Arvika 2022).

From her home in Värmland, a rural county in west-central Sweden, Aevy Lore creates music in close companionship with the forest. Drawing inspiration from a deep longing to connect with the natural world, she’s even bringing the woods into her music. With field recordings of ‘forest percussions,’ there’s an interesting organic texture to her music, and her close relationship to nature is often present in the themes of her songs.

Aevy Lore released her debut single “Am I going Blind?” on World Environment Day, the 5th of June 2022. The song expresses the artist's deep longing to find a sense of belonging and a way to love the Earth without being overwhelmed by anxiety and fear for the future. The song was the first to be released from her upcoming concept album, a collection of songs intertwined in a story about the Human-Nature relationship.

The Human Being behind Aevy Lore - Olivia Ahltorp is a trained pianist at Rytmus Musikgymnasium in Stockholm and a trained music producer at the Ingesund Academy of Music. She has previously performed live with other band constellations on stages such as Kulturnatten (Uppsala) and Vinterviken (Stockholm). With a passion for the storytelling aspect in music-making, she's also composing music for filmmakers, dancers, actors... All kinds of storytellers.

Before fully embracing her passion for music-making, Olivia spent years studying sustainable development, philosophy, and small-scale agriculture. Her experience in these fields can be traced back to the themes of her songs, and the overall vision of her artist project Aevy Lore: To bridge the gap between facts and fantasy, science and poetry. To work with music and storytelling for change and build inspiration and hope for the future.
